This question has come up before, some felt a difference btwn a std/tourer and an I/S.  I found an article that provides some info.  Rider June '99,  was about the I/S
Compared to the std/tourer.

I/S forks
1. spring rates are the same
2. compression damping increased slightly
3. Rebound decreased slightly.

I/S rear shocks

1. spring was stiffened, common knowledge
2. rebound rate was stiffened.
