I'm looking for a different seat for my 2000 Standard. Specifically I want a more "generous" sized passenger seat.

I met a Valk owner who had a great seat on his bike.  He had been given the seat and told it came off an "older" Gold Wing.  When I did a little research it looked most like a Saddleman Tour seat for Valkyrie.  However they are $420.00 new!

The seat is all one piece and fits with no modifications.  Anyone have ideas for a seat to meet my needs?

Many choice out there Mustang, Ultimate,Russell daylong,Corbin. However they are not Cheap but comfort is worth the$$$.
I don't think the seat you saw came off a Goldwing and fit the Valkyrie without some modifications. JMHO.

I tthink you are right...it was not actually a Gold Wing Seat.  The passenger portion was not shaped like any Gold Wing seat I have seen.  It did, however, fit right on the Valk like it was made for it.  I didn't know if a VTX 1800, or some other Honda model would have the same seat mounting/locking system.  Again, by the looks of a picture I saw on-line, it appears that it was a Saddleman Tourer seat (all one piece and generous passenger portion).  Saddleman does make that seat for Valks.

If you're looking specifically for a more generous passenger seat Ultimate seats is your best bet.  Perhaps you can pick up a used pillion and backrest.  If not Ultimate will sell you a set.

I custom made a couple from the OEM front seat.  Check out THIS LINK if interested.
