Is your petcock hitting something and keeping the tank from setting down? There are Interstate tanks and standard tanks but they are pretty much interchangeable.

Interstate tank is Bigger than standard/tourer tank. Don't understand hitting air cleaner? Are the Rubber pads on the frame rails where the tank sits?

No way a Valkyrie tank will sit on the air cleaner from what I have seen. And I have had mine off many times. Sometime either has to be under it or it is not a Valk tank. Take the tank back off and post a picture of frame and one of the tank.

Wonder if when repairing the dent, the shop pressurized the tank and distorted it??

Where are you, Sasquatch? Someone close to you might be able to give you a hand. Take some pictures of your tank and upload them to a site like Photobucket, then post them here.

IM wondering if they switched tanks because they screwed up mine. Can you not look at the tank and tell if it is a Valkyrie tank? As I suggested and G R did take some pictures and post them here. It is hard to help you being as we can't see your problem.
