It's not just a motorcycle: but a way of life that automaticaly raises your personal and social stature as a human being.

are they saying Harley buyers are Neanderthals when they buy the bike and become Cro-Magnons afterwards?

I can see the ads now, "So old a technology only a Caveman would buy it?"

It's understandable... I know a guy with a Harley... he put a passenger seat vibrator in, at a cost of $950. I'd rather buy more chrome  coolsmiley

Did a ride on Saturday with 12 bikes, three of which were Harleys.

One had mechanical problems that we had to stop and deal with all ride long.  One died completely and had to be towed.  The third one was dropped by a guy doing a slow speed U-turn trying to get back to the first broken bike.

Thanks but no thanks! tickedoff

I ride with Harleys all the time and none have any trouble.  They aren't as fast as a Valk, but nobody seem to mind.  I mean, except you guys.   I still don't understand how you seem to find all the broken Harleys that want to race or ride with you.  Must be that part of the country, or the stories aren't true.  I suspect the latter.

I love Harleys!............................................................................ in someone else's garage! Grin Grin

Don't be too hard on the Harley guys, if it wasn't for them paying $24K+ for $15K bikes I wouldn't have all these nice HD dealerships & HD sponsored events to ride my Valk to!!  2funny

And no I don't feel guilty about it either.

We ride with a number of HD folks, and their bikes are very nice.  They can not equal the Valk in smooth comfort or power, but few bikes can.  We enjoy the joking regarding the HD's, but those we have been around are reliable and cool aplenty.  We would own one in a heartbeat (but could not give up Big Mama to get one).  Our $.02.

We trudge on.

Wondered where you been!  ???  lol But I agree, I think we/they are bunch of liars....  uglystupid2
I rode with my HD bud today. Been a long time, late July I think. Went to this little Indian place on the river to check it out. He uses 2 screwdrivers to jump his starter to get it to fire. Fuel gauge doesn't work so he welded 2 brass elbows to his tank at a angle with clear hose in between. He has a new fuel 'sight' gauge! While we were there a dozen HD's showed up and we tossed a few back with them and chatted about my CT.

The one that died sounded like a tin can of rusty nails on spin cycle when it showed up at the beginning of the ride.

I've got a Valkyrie and a Electraglide and I like them both.

To get back on topic

>>> "It's not just a motorcycle: but a way of life that automaticaly raises your personal and social stature as a human being."

I've been all over the H-D web page and just can't seem to find that statement anywhere? ...especially that last part, it just doesn't even seem like something HD marketing would say. Please point me to that?

one of my friends has a road king, stage something or other and the pipes are so loud Bonnie wont go on a ride if he is coming

Bike runs great, his friends run the MSF and each time he shows up he gets the top gun rank  he is a great rider.

Around here they dont wave a lot, I do anyway

To each his own.  If I see one stopped I slow down and ask if help is needed. So far none of em has taken me up on my offer,

Jr the neanderthal line is a good one cooldude

I will say this about Harleys; they have very nice paint from the factory.

Oh, and they really do know how to do a "black out" effect on a bike.  Seriously.

MCRIDER...  I wasn't going to say anything until I reviewed all your other posts and for the last 10 of the "17" that you wrote, I got tired of reading how you are defending these poor harley riders. It is almost like you are the one in "high school" or college and you are from the website's rival school acting like you belong to the group and are defending the rival of the site.... If you have a valk then great but your posts seems to contridict you owning a valk...  You seem to want to stir the pot in every place you post.... We all have opinions.. I rode w/ a HD yesterday for 200+ miles I even told him I liked his bike and the exhaust wasn't too loud to ride behind him and I have a long time HD rider that got tired of his bike breaking down and now rides a wing...  To each his own....   But I find your posts uninformative and unnecessary...  You are calling fellow members Liars...??? really?

I will add you to my "special" list...  or rather... "waste of my time to read list".

Ride on....
