Chopped the piggy's at the end of the pipes, figured I'd post the video. Not a whole lot louder than stock, but as per the instructions, it's smoother. Mind my commentary and the blue LED's.

Why "O" why do we continue to butcher stock mufflers. If you would read regularly you would see time after time new owners looking for way's to reduce the drone that comes from previous owners doing this. There are plenty of us that would gladly swap our mutilated ones for your stock unit. Since Honda is not making these anymore, every time someone does this there is that many less for the future riders to enjoy. I know it's your ride and your right but jeez!

That's why I have an extra set of stock pipes sitting in my barn. Thsee came off one that was wrecked, the drivers side is pretty well mashed up and had to be put together with other pieces. Figured it would get y'all up in arms air Ha!

Cutting the pigs will not make it any louder....just a bit lower tone.

Now that you've started the journey of hacking up your pipes, if you want louder the next step is to drill the baffles.  That will make them a little louder, but not by much.

If that doesn't do it for you, the next step is the Ragnar cut.  That will get you loud.

If you want more info on the what and how to of the Ragnar cut, I can post some links for you if you want.  It also includes instructions for drilling the baffles.

After you do all that, I can provide some tips on how to make them quiet again.   Wink

I agree with FLA Jim there are plenty of molested exhausts out there without cutting up a stock set.  I would have traded you a pair of nice low mile ones.
I am having to reverse the molestation to the pair on the bike I purchased by installing stacks and putting the silencer at the rear.  Previously it had a horrible sound at highway speed that with a helmet and ear plugs did not help.  I still would get a headache.  My father-in law with hearing aids he can only hear if talking one on one in a quite room.  Keep your hearing as long as possible.

Riders will do what they want to do to their own bikes.  There is no reason to knock it.  Cut my piggys years ago, and added 6" extended cannons with Grumpy's tips and to me, it sounds great (better than stock).
