I have received my Tsukayu Jumbo strong bags and would like to purchase additional braces.  I would like to know what bracing works the best and looks good too.  Since I am a new owner of a 2003 and only get to ride it 3 months a year when I go to Arizona I could use some help.   Please give me your advice

You may want to consider this.  I have the brackets from my OEM leather bags.  This is what one guy did to mount his:

Does the U bar work good on the Valkyrie?  I notice they offer two sizes, which one is the one to purchase?

Would that U-Bar really be necessary when mounting the bags ? I'm also looking at these bags as  replacement for the stock F6C Leather bags which may need replacing next year

I have had the Tsukayu bags for seven years and never had a problem. I have had them fully loaded on many trips and never saw a need for extra support.

I don't know if it's needed or not.  I have read reports on here from people that said that the Tsukayu bags have flexed when loaded using the Tsukayu mounts but I don't have any direct experience with them.

I did own a set of the Tsukayu z bar mounts once, but I never mounted them.  They seemed like they'd be a rock solid mount....but again, I never used them.

However, my bags are Mustang bags, which are the same as the Tsukayu Quick Release Strong bags from Tsukayu except with Mustang's covering on them.  And another however, I used my stock OEM leather bag mounts (I had to modify them) with the Mustang bags.....mine don't have any flex....solid as a rock.

This is what I did.....

the  jumbo strong bags will flex downward when going over bumps or railroad tracks.. I could hear them  every time... I got the u bar and it made a huge difference.. I'm still gonna mount a top bracket but the u bracket sure does help with the downward flex!

Is the U Bar usable without the Outer bag rail which protects the bags or does it mount to the rail ?

It is usable without the outer bag rail... you have to drill holes into the bottom of the bags....

It sounds like a good investment to add the bottom brace

I too am mounting Tsukayu Jumbo Strong bags on my 2001 Standard and took delivery of the bags last week, just under a month after I ordered them. Fedex from Hong Kong.

I am taking my time to do this job right. My first challenge is to mount the chrome "bag protector" rails so that they will appear symmetrical when both bags are mounted. Any advice on how these ought to be positioned relative to the bottom of the bags?
