I installed a ROSTRA 250-1223 cruise control on my 1999 Valkyrie Interstate. It works well, no thanks to the Rostra tech support team...
If anyone needs assistance with theirs, contact me at mailbox.fjw@gmail.com, and I will be happy to assist.

Nice to know you got it to work.  Any pictures of your install?  I started on mine, but haven't finished it yet.

I'm looking to install one this Winter.  Where did you install the servo box?  I desmogged years ago and am hoping that it will fit above the engine.

We need pictures...

Do you happen to have some pictures of your installation? TIA.

No photos, at least not yet. Shoulder surgery, this Friday, so I had to hurry and get things back together. I'll get some photos as soon as I am able. Meanwhile, I can answer specific questions as they arise.
I installed the servo in the fairing, just below and in front of the instruments, using the supplied bracket (with a bend in it) and a couple of zip ties. The dip switches are accessible without removing anything, just lift the rubber sheet out of the way.
Attaching the throttle cable was the trickiest part. I did not want to modify any original Valk parts, or disturb any mechanical joints, so I clamped a Two-Piece Clamp-On Shaft Collar (Ace Hardware or McMaster.com) on to the carb linkage that spans the carb banks, and attached the ball chain end. Photos will really help here...I promise some before too long.
Meanwhile, if you need help, send me an email (mailbox.fjw@gmail.com) and I'll reply with my phone number.

Curious what your DIP switch settings are and what PPM did you use in the configuration?

THanks,

Gotta question about the electronic type cruise controls.
I 've never been fond of the throttle lock type cruise controls, just seems like they could be dangerous in an emergency type stop situation.
Do the electronic types, deactivate when you hit your brakes, similar to a car type cruise control?
