I have installed 36" stacks on my exhaust and moved the silencer to  the rear.  I would like to know how many inches of steel wool can I  add in front of the silencer without causing any damage to the motor?
I have purchased 4" X 1" Stainless Steel Scrubber Pads from Amazon. They fit nicely.

I don't completely understand what you did, but realize that Honda Amerca built a perfect exhaust system for our Valkyries.  Messing with it too much will require that you re-jet your carbs...

The factory is very quiet, I'm thinking you are talking about an aftermarket ?

No, mine was molested with the pipes cut off and baffle drilled out.

Yes, of course. Do it by all means if you require a quiet exhaust. Stuff em full.
