This was taken July 31st, but i'm gonna cheat and call it August since I already have a July pic.  Anyway, was out riding the Three Twisted Sisters area last week and saw this old building in Utopia.  Not just any building, but the very first building built in this small Hill Country treasure of a town…


Built in 1873, this building was built by stone-mason Joe Hastler using native stone.  Here we are 142 years later and the structure is still sound…good work Joe!

I'm always amazed at our great state's history and how much of it is right in front of us every day!
