Kinda curious, but hoping somebody can answer my question.

What are the advantages of going with aftermarket needles with clips (Dynajet) instead of the stock needles especially when running the Cobras 6x6?

TIA.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Bob and I had a long talk about this last month. I already know his thoughts on this. I was just curious to hear from people who have switched over to aftermarket needles on their Valkyrie.

If you have talked with bob go with his advice. You wont find anyone here that is more knowledgeable about valks and carbs than he is. If he gave me his opinion on something valk related I would take it and run.

There is no advantage in changing anything connected with the carburetors with aftermarket

parts regardless of exhaust configuration. The Valkyrie is known to run on the rich side normally

and the addition of aftermarket exhaust will not adversely affect the running of the engine, carburetor wise.

Most all aftermarket additions affect the running of the engine in a detrimental way.

A Cobra exhaust is know to reduce the engine horsepower by about six horsepower. You will not regain the

lost horsepower with carburetor modifications. The net effect of carburetor modifications will reduce

the engine efficiency and corresponding loss of fuel economy, not to mention engine responsiveness.
