Just finished a trip from Houston to Maine and back along with a few other stops.  The Valk was great.  Maybe a little harsh on the bumps.  The Corbin saddle was pretty good.  Had on the lower windshield on the bike.   I'm only 5'6", so the wind hit my helmet about chin level, which works fine for me.  With 10k miles on the bike the front tire is severely cupped.  Stuck a new Bridgestone Excedra G850 190/60 on the rear just before the trip; it was fine and the thread depth is only down to 4mm.  Very happy with the bike.  She was super in doing exactly what I bought her for.  Hard to believe these bikes are not selling like hot cakes, especially for what you can get them for now.

Apparently an aftermarket seat is a must.  Just short 200 mile rides one way kill me on that bike.  It has the most uncomfortable seat of any cruiser I've ever owned with the VTX1800 being second place.  Hondas forte is just not seats.......

Without my Air Hawk, my tailbone is hurting after only a couple of hours.  Seat is total crap.

Wow.  Very cool.  My daughter and I are planning a trip up there next summer, and  would love to read some more about your trip, how far into Maine you went, weather, and the like.

Maybe some day someone other than Corbin will put out a seat for us. I agree the OEM saddle is terrible. If I'm riding more than an hour or so I throw on a gel pad.
That's a good long ride to honesty learn what this new bike can do. I finished a 1800 ride in July and was equally impressed.

btw: I was in a dealer showroom in Charlotte, NC today and they had a black 14 and a burgundy 15 on the floor. The 14 price tag was 13999 the 15 price tag was 15999.
Makes my blue 14 otd at 12600 look even better.

You'all be safe.

Buzzard,

Russell Daylong makes a seat as well for our bikes.  You have to send in your seat(s) and they will fix it up.  Take a look.  I am getting mine done by them this winter.
