Hello everybody, I'm new to this site and I just purchased a 2001 I/S, 36,000 miles. The buzzing speeds up and slowed down with the reving of the engine. But it Dose goes away when I lean into a turn on either side. The buzzing does not get louder if I turn the volume up and it's not present when I use the fairing speakers. Both helmets are new and so are the head sets and cords.

Sometimes such problems come from bad grounds.  I have eliminated them on my wing and std Valk with audio system, by adding a ground loop isolator, and power filter.

I'd go fishing around underneath the right side cover.  Depending on your specific setup there will be more than a few wires for the intercom. One of mine has a small transformer about the size of a sugar cube that needs to be dressed away from other "offending" wires that will couple alternator buzz into the headsets. Once found, I put it into an orientation and location that gave me the best results and zip-tied it. Of course, your best plan is to fish around with your helmet on and the engine running to locate the issue. Good luck.

Could be a crusty connection between the Alt and the battery. Check the ground connections, and the Interstate has a noise resistor on the outside of the alternator case that you should be able to see by removing the cover. make sure that everything is snug, and clean cooldude
