OK so Wednesday night I installed my Brake Away throttle lock.

I've put about 150 highway miles on it since. I've never ridden a bike w/ a throttle lock or any type of cruise control. The first time I engaged it was a weird feeling being able to remove my right hand and the bike maintain speed. I didn't know what to do w/ my arm or hand, should I leave it on the grip, should I let it float in the wind or just rest on the tank. After all these years my right hand is free to relax.

As for the BrakeAway, it is great. it locks in real nice, holds speed real well and is easily adjustable for changes in road elevations with a simple little twist in either direction.

it disengages just as easy as it engages and it is addictive to use. It's nice letting the throttle hand experience what the left hand has been able to do at highway speeds and miles for all these years.

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

Even if one doesn't use it all that often, it's still nice to know that you can give your right hand/arm a break every once in a while if you need to.   cooldude

I never liked cruse control in my cars before. But since I got the Goldwing with CC, like you pointed out, I love having the right hand free to rest my grip. After a long days ride, it was difficult to make a grip sometimes.

As to what to do with it? Freak out the other riders by waving with your right hand when you greet them as you pass.  Smiley
