After a few short weekend rides, I realized I want the B for the cruise control, better fairing and of course the bags. Found a good deal on one in AZ delivered to my door. I'll miss the quick handling of the Valk. It's been a gas!! Anyone want a perfect Valk in black with extras give me a shout out. 774 miles is all it has. Warranty started in April of 2015.

I am in the same boat you are and will be very interested to see what you get for your Valk. I did some searching and found new VAlK's for $12K. Kind of discouraged me from moving forwrd with a sale.
Thanks,
Brad

Its a damn shame. I went into the dealer to purchase an F6B and decided on the Valkyrie instead. A red one with Honda bags, backrest, and luggage rack was 12999.00 out the door. I eventually will trade it for the F6B for the same reasons as yourself. I've been spoiled by all the luxury my previous BMW's had. I'm going to wait until the 2015 F6B's are being sold as left overs.

Are you sure? Just asking: the Valk is significantly lighter and far less top-heavy; with luggage the Valk puts the F6B to shame storage-wise with the Valk's 22 / 24 liters of storage per saddlebag (Corbin/Honda bags) vs. the small 11 liters per bag of the F6B, plus lighter steering.
It's sad that the bagger F6B has such small bags.

I thought the Honda Valk bags were pathetically small, 11 liters is worthless. Love my new Valk and wouldn't consider the F6B.

The OEM Honda Valk bags are 24 liters; if you compare them to general, and aftermarket, leather bags, you'll find that 24 liters is quite generous, considered "jumbo" in the soft / leather saddlebag world. Only hard bags are bigger, they are usually between 30 to 40 liters. I agree, 11 liters is pretty pathetic actually. I was shocked when I read the specs: 11??!! Nice painted gloveboxes you have there The bags on my current bike are very small, you get used to it (luckily I'm a light packer from years of travel and not a big guy) but the F6B is such a large bike. The only thing I can figure is that Honda is being unintentionally confusing when they talk about their bags - the web site says Luggage performs better when it’s designed in, not added as an afterthought. The F6B sports twin-integrated saddlebags with 22 liters of storage; both are lockable and sealed against the elements most companies when then talk that way they are stating total capacity, maybe Honda is talking per bag? They need to be more precise.

Even 22 liters per side is small for hard bags on a touring bike. If you just want electronic cruise control, there is an Australian company that sells an add on unit for about $1000. I find the friction lock works just fine.

I'm not exactly sure how big each F6B bag is but when I looked at the bike they were radically smaller than what I was used to. I went with OEM Honda soft mint brackets and Saddlemen jumbo bags on my Valkyrie. Each ag can hold two half helmets side by side with enough room for a couple of 20oz. bottles and small misc. stuff. Not sure exactly how big they are though.

I'm worried to about selling the Valk. The good news is I got into reasonable but wonder what I'll get for it. The taxes will be much less for the new buyer than I paid new. I understand I'm giving up some sport mode but that's fine, At 63, I don't get in a hurry and I fell in love with the satin gray 40th anniversary F6B edition. I can get way more accessories for it as well. They are both incredible machines and put a smile on my face as soon as I leave the driveway. The dealers are cutting deals now on the 2015 leftovers. Russelville,Honda is the best everyday price at $17995 otd. My dealer sold mine at $17495, then delivered it to my door for $18,300. I was afraid if I waited for a better price, this model would be gone. Unlike the Valk, these move much more quickly

I personally wouldn't pay more than about $10,000 for a used Valkyrie. Since you can buy them new for $12,000 there's no point. It was coming to light that the Valk were losing MSRP fast when I got mine so I only financed it a few years. I figured if/when someone made something I want more, my trade in would be about what I owed.

I really don't know what you guys are talking about. I get a lot of stuff in my F6B saddlebags. I get a lot of stuff in my F6B bags as well. Just not my modular helmet. The B bags are long, not wide. The right side bag is narrower then the left. Also the B bags are larger than those very nice looking Corbin bags. I am sure the B bags are the same size as the GW bags, and not many complaints about the GW bags are there.

They looked unpleasantly small to me in person. Most everyone I know with a Goldwing store everything in the trunk. I also did not like the way the F6B/Goldwing bags opened.

When I had my Interstate, I used the trunk to store my 2 helmets. Also many people have a trunk rack to add an additional bag of some sort for extra storage, some on a GW as well. Also, the soft bag I use to put my clothes in, I would have to squeeze the sides in and stuff down into the I/S side bags. Now, this same soft bag filled with my clothes, I now just open my B's left side bag, place the soft bag of clothes in there and just close the side bag. It is actually easier to load and unload my clothes bag. The side bags on the B opens pretty wide. It's way easier to use than the top loading design of my I/S.

I was a latecomer to the party and just got my F6b about 5 weeks ago. I paid 13,5k for a brand new 2013b with 2 miles on it. I'm pretty sure if you asked most any B owner if they thought their old Valk was a better bike, you'd get a chuckle. I'd just outright laugh. Oh, and the bags are decent sized but I've never had a Valk Tourer so I do miss the trunk and will be adding a luggage rack and carry in bag.

I think Honda is being their usual conservative self, and afraid that someone will overload the bags and/or exceed the GVWR, crash, and then sue them. Too bad. I wonder if it's possible to cut out the inside wall of the saddle bag and increase the available space.

I don't find the F6B bags to be any smaller than the ones on my 2001 Interstate.
