Contrary to popular belief you (or at least I ) can ride waaaay longer on a hard seat than a soft one.

First off your pic taking leaves something to be desired, from the rear, REALLY. How about a side shot. I was going on a ride today and stopped for breakfast then took a ride to Broward Motor Sports to see if there was anything interesting, decided to swing on to 95 and to head north towards Cape Canaveral got as far as Vero and decided it was a bit hot and late since I got a late start, I turned around but at the fuel stop I did in Vero, 2 folks at separate times came up and talked with me about the Valk. When at the station talking to the guys I told them about the VRCC and one guy may be a buyer for the Valk wants to get off a zx14 the other wants a bike, but wife has a problem with it. Then on the way back home I pulled along side a group of bikers and one was a 14 Valk. I did get a chance to tour around a few places in my wanderings but was glad to be back home and washed the bike. I have to say its really good on the road, the miles do indeed fly by and acceleration is just great. This Corbin seat is the best one I have had and comfortable. I must say all in all a good but hot ride. Washing the bike is a non event the fastest I could get the 01 done was an hour. This 14 Valk takes no time at all in fact its almost easier to use the detail spray and just get the bugs and dust off of it. Takes all of 15 minutes to wash and blow dry just take the detail spray to it and done. I also found out that Christmas trees do grow in Florida and that the branches start about 6 feet up. Wish I had a pic but couldn't believe that they raise them this way. Nice looking and when I went by them the smell was great. Aside from a couple of dum azzes and the heat it was really a nice ride.

I bought the rear fender lids when I bought the bike so when riding solo I can use the stock driver seat. I took off the grab handles (dang there was some weight there) now that I have the Corbin with the built in back rests I don't need the grab rails anymore. Anyone want a 3 month old stock Honda passenger sissy bar? $180 shipped to the lower 48. Hoping to get the fender lids on soon.

Just wait until that leather on the Corbin seat "breaks in"... maybe 1000 miles or so... They have a habit of getting better and better as you wear it in.

Since you cannot avoid rain and sometimes don't have a cover for your seat I would suggest a treatment with mink oil, or Corbin has some leather care products. I just did mine and it made a difference as far as feel also.

Sheffjs - some peeps have mentioned that the corbin saddle places the rider further back than the stock seat...Did you find this to be the case for you?

I say yes however it was a very small barely noticeable amount, remember I am the strange one who loves the H-Bar/riser set up. I will put the rear fender blanks in tonight and run the stock Honda solo seat for tomorrow’s ride I will pay close attention to the seat distance. I guess for me it is fine. Adding: if I put my arm pit on the top of a file cabinet front edge my pit to finger tip measurement is 29"
