+2 !!!!!

The spam was turning me away from the other place.  I hate wading through spam.

I like it better because spam will go away, BUT, I did like being able to read a post and still see the list of threads. Was handy to be able to review the threads and not open them if you didn't want to. We will all get used to this one and it will reduce the work for ADMIN.

Haven't played on this "brand" much... time will tell which I like more gooder.

YaBB lets ya upload pix directly from your hard drive (without a hosting site).  Does this one have that feature?

Is it spring yet?

This is too early for this poll. Need to give everyone one a chance
to try it out. So far so good though. I kind miss the old one though.

The poll post is just to show what it's all about. Thanks for the feedback, I added a line to the poll based on your point.

Sorry but you can't change your vote unless I reset the entire poll.

FYI, I'm in no way a part of the VRCC STAFF. In fact most of them hate me and none of them can even keep up with me when we ride together (except Motomama).

Yes is does have that feature but I have it turned off.  With the traffic we get, it kills the performance and eats up too much bandwidth.  Its a great feature to have, but we just can't handle the load.

The only minor gripe that I have is that the dark background is a little rough on my old eyes compared to the old forum. Other than that, I likes it! Grin

I like it!  Picking through the spam on the old board was getting old.  This format shouldn't take long to get used to.  THANKS to all who work behind the scenes to make this and the old board available!!

Thank God!!!  This is the style of board I'm used to.  The old one gave me fits.  I absolutely hated that I had to click on each individual message in a thread to read.  Btw, I finally had an inspiration for a screen name instead of my real name.  Hope all ya'll like it.  Considering my hobby of competitive shooting, I think it fits.  Btw, it's Sweet Tea approved.

This board will have less spam, and is easy to learn, which is good. I don't like change. Either way, whatever the powers that be think best. I do appreciate all the work that goes on behind the scene.
I do like the archaic format of the old board, but I suppose it is a year for change.

I enjoyed scrolling through the threads and being able to open the ones I was interested in. The other one also was very easy to use right out of the box.

Things I like:

I love the EDIT feature.

No (less) spam.

Things I miss:

The responses are all linear and when you open a post you open every response.  You cannot look at a post and see the specific responses to the specific posts.  Therefore, you cannot ignore the hijacks (or see the hijacks if you are not interested in the original topic).

As far as I know, you cannot toggle OFF the pictures and videos.  This is a problem for those of us dinosaurs still on dial-up.

This format is the best.

If only you could directly download pics into your post without having to go through photostash, it would be brilliant.

Geez....I must be gettin' old, but the smileys are a bit small aren't they....can hardly see 'em.. Cool

I'm computer challenged, but give it a little time and I think it will be fine.  Anything to keep some spammers away, and to keep this group communicating for better or worse!  Thanks staff, you guys do a great job with not many kudos.

+1 to the staff  Grin. Even though the old board was the first forum I ever joined, this is the format I like best and am used to using from Daniel's site and my CCW forum. How could anyone not like the elimination of all the garbage that plugged up the old board.
