No more problems (fingers crossed) the phenobarbital makes Bears back legs unstable so no long walks but he's doing very well.

Yep got him (well he got me) when he was 6 months old from the Atlanta Humane Society. I was looking for a short haired and ended up with this furry freak.

He spent a few weeks at the Athens Vet College when he was about 15 months old. Got a bone marrow transplant, blood transfusions and a chemo for a coupla weeks. We used to go and visit him at weekends. All experimental to try and cure his rare form of leukemia. Only 10% of dogs responded to the treatment.

I think the illness stunted his growth a little. He weighs 70 lbs. From his paw size I think he should have been closer to 85. He's a Chow, Rotweiler with a little Sheltie thrown in. Not a fierce bone in his body.
