suiting up after leaving Lowes today when a car from the other side of the parking lot drives up and stops.
2 guys inside were admiring my `00 blue/silver I/S.
Turns out both of them, father and son, both ride.
One an ACE and the other a VTX.
It still amazes me after having this bike for 9 years all the interest and conversations she has caused.
Can't say there is another bike out there that does the same thing with such regularity.
Bet you have numerous stories about yours too.

I saw one the other day that had seen less than excellent care. Maybe being left out in the winter, or ridden a lot (but not anywhere near as much as mine) and then put away dirty, only to be ridden more but neve cleaned.. it looked older than it's years. It was sad for me to look it over and I had to turn away.

They are so easy to keep beautiful. ...well,maybe not, maybe I'm just willing to do the footwork, but they are gorgeous when taken care of properly.

You're right, BG.  Everywhere we stopped, people always came up to talk to us.

Here is a family that came up to us in Field, British, Columbia, Canada to ask about the Valk.  You can see one of them taking a pic

On Route 66 in Seligman, AZ,  a Japanese tour bus unloaded, and dozens of them asked Judy and I to pose by the Valk while they took pictures.  This pic shows where we were, but it was before the tourists came.

I admit that I loved the attention.   Cool
