Wink For those of you who don't know about this product, ( I didn't) get some. I took a box staple in my new rear tire and was going to buy a new one when one of our members told me about this stuff. Found it for $13.95 at Rocky mtn atv and mc. Not only filled the 2 holes, but the tire is now balanced. I'm going to put it in my Sport bike as well. Watch the video at rideon.com. Truly a bikers best friend!!!

rideon.com is some other site/service/product.

which product specifically did you purchase from the shop that Ride-On makes?

Back in 06 I installed 2 oem tires on my 89 GW using ride-on. Then did a coast to coast ride over 6500 miles. When I returned the tires still looked new! I sold the bike shortly after that. been using balance beads since then. They work great also, just have to avoid nails.

I used their Motorcycle tire additive. No more worries unless the tire itself fails!!! Gotta love it. Roll Eyes

I was thinking of trying Ride-On.  For those who have used it, how much of a mess do you have to clean up when mounting a new tire?

It is mostly all plastered to the inside of the tire, way up in there, not on the sidewall...

They have tubeless mountain bike tires now, I got one of these to put my rideon in my
Valkyrie tires...

I purchased a PR4GT and contacted my dealer for the install.  I told them not to balance as I plan on using Ride-On.  Tne following was the service mnagers response.

Brad, we strongly discourage the use of dyna-beads or any other loose material to be ran inside the tire, as per Michelin and Metzeler...
regards, Dan

Not sure if he was referring to Ride-On as I do not see it as being loose material and my research has turned up no negative comments about the Ride-On product.

I purchased Ride-On LED Generation 2 Smart Cap TPMS Ver 2 to monitor my tire pressures. I haven't received them yet. I will report functionality.  Cool

Yesterday I changed the Bridgestone tire on the spare rear wheel for my F6B.  It was the first tire I've removed that had Dyna Beads in it.  I recovered the old beads using an envelope, as someone suggested on this site.  Just open the flap and lay the envelope inside the tire, then roll the tire so the beads fill the envelope.  That method works great!

The old beads did have more of a gray color than the new ones, undoubtedly from contact with the tire lining.  There were even a few tiny specs of rubber mixed in.  But I don't remember seeing anything inside of the tire that would concern me.  I'll take another look as the old tire is still in the driveway.

BTW, these beads appear to be nothing more that ceramic proppant, used to hydraulically fracture ('frac') oil and gas wells.  In the industry we buy this stuff by the ton.  The price per ounce is a tiny fraction of what we riders pay.
