Searched up and down the threads, couldn't find anything on this.

The breakaway cruise control website says they have a model that will fit 1998+ Valkyries. Doesn't give me confidence when I see 1998+. Has anyone here tried fitting one on the 1800 Valkyrie with stock grips?

Will call them to see, just curious to check for opinions here first.

Yes,  I installed one on my '14.  Absolutely love it!!!  Pricey but worth it.

My buddy and I installed on both a 01 IS and my 2014 Valkyrie.  Love it.  A little finicky to get the positioned just right.  His IS has the same grips as my Valkyrie, stock.

The Break away... is not a true cruise control... but a throttle lock...FYI

It is great for resting the right hand, grabbing a drink on a long ride, fiddling with something in the front windshield pockets, etc....

Usually on a flat piece of ground it works best for a longer period...

I have one on my 98 (cant help with the new valk) but it works great. Took a bit to fiddle and get it set properly, but it does work GREAT for the purposes indicated.
