I am planning to replace the stock shock bushings with poly ones.

A quick search showed these : http://redeye.ecrater.com/p/18385698/rear-shock-bushings-polyurethane-teflon

Is there a better source?

You can get them through any Honda dealer but they usually have to order them.

If you get OEM Valkyrie bushings, they won't be polyurethane... I heard OEM
VTX ones are and that they fit.

I think redeye stuff is always supposed to be good...

I think you will find the p ice of the OEM VTX green poly ones much more to your liking...and they are good.  If the get the OEM Valkyrie ones, they will be rubber and not poly.

Get 4 of:
52489-HN0-671

They're poly and work great.
