Does anyone think making a change to the radiator pod like the pictures below will help its look?

 ???

Perhaps I'm not attuned to the minute changes shown in the comparison of the two pictures, but uh.... What changes?

The pods smoothly integrated into the sides of the tank.

The only way to accomplish that while still allowing service access to the radiators is to completely alter the design so that the "tank" is really just 2 (full coverage) sidr panels that meet in the middle.  Think a Harley-style 'split tank' and center console, only using covers that conceal the real tank underneath.  Conversely, the entire tank cover is integrated with both side panels - not fun to remove, at all.

You end up with...not the same bike.   But it is pretty  cooldude

Wouldn't that (maybe seriously) affect the radiator's function?  I thought the big crack in there was for cooling (I'm pretty sure it wasn't for good looks).

I like my bike also,,,,, only thing im going to do this winter is take the pods off so I can get to the plastic mesh backing to paint it red to continue the red accents i have started already,on the top of the bags ,top of the hard trunk, metal mesh I put in front of the driving lights in the cowl, center strip on the valve covers,etc......

From a looks stand point I also like the way my bike looks, from an engineering standpoint it would be pretty difficult. The tank would have to be so wide that your legs would not have room or even to move the radiators into the bike you could remove the fans but cooling will be a problem. To just name a couple of engineering problems.

Might change airflow.  When I look at the radiator covers, I see a wing, an airfoil that creates a low pressure in front of the radiator to pull the air thru reducing drag.

getting back to you "rusty" on painting the rad guards.... since they are plastic I use a kylon paint,2 coats then let it dry and 2 more coats of clear,,, that is working well on the expanded metal I put in the front cowling,in front of the driving lites, and on strip with HONDA on it on the outside of the valve covers.... the only other thing I have painted is the inside of each exhaust muffler, for that I used a high temp B B Q paint but need to redo that each year as it get sutty black.Just got back from my first DRAGON ROUND UP in Madison Indiana.... WOW what a blast,it was really a kick to ride in a group of over 60 bikes, most being Valkyries or at least Hondas I will add you to my buddy list for future talks OK... woof red
