1) Is there an easy way of toning down the surging the bike does at idle?
2) it has the stock pipes on, I don't mind the sound it gives, but just love the roar of the 6-6.  I've heard that the stock valk needs a bit of tuning after switching to the drag pipes, would the same hold true after putting them on the valk with the supercharger or would it be to plug and play?

Here's a video of mine. How does your surging compare to this? When cold there's a bit but when warm I don't find it an issue at all. I do have 6-into-6 pipes with 8" baffles and tuned the bike with them on. Previously I had Viking pipes on and I didn't have to tune it after the change. I never had stock pipes on so your mileage may vary. No driveability issues after customizing the air intake. Before modifying the intake I had terrible surging and it was impossible to tune and ride in the city without loading up and fouling plugs. Since the mod I haven't touched it in years. The idle is always perfect. I can direct you to a thread on this if you're interested.

That is by far the best blown Valkyrie video I have seen and the smoothest idling one.

The only thing I have ever been able to do as far as controling the surge is installed a manual adjusting cable forthe idle. I turn the idle up when the bike is cold and it does nt surge. WHen the engine gets warm I adjust the idle back down. Most of the time i do this on the fly. I have done this to 3 supercharged Valks.

For the exhaust. You will need to play around with it till it is where you want it or ge the bike tuned on a dyno from a perwon that knows what they are doing. They are hard to find though.
