crazy2 Anyone know if the rear f6b or Goldwing rear crash bars fit our Valk's? I don't have hard bags and would like rear crash fall over protection

This point is interesting me too, for the same reasons : no hard bags ever but sometimes my feet are slipping when I stop ... or I may forget to use the stand  Roll Eyes.
I'll check tomorrow if I can take away the piece below the rear pegs and see if there's any place for bolts and rear crash bars  coolsmiley

We should ask the F6B or GW owners because on the Valk, the chassis looks like this

and it should be OK I believe  Cool

or not, if this is right  and the #16, 84130-MCA-S40 looks like this :

When the 1800 Valk lays over it sits on the front crash bars and supports the bike on a 45 degree angle very similar to the 1500 Valk. As long as the soft bags don't protrude out to far from the sides the most damage I could see is them being slightly crushed. The F6B that I looked at on the showroom floor had the rear bars from what I remember. But I think the anchoring points or the fairing change was a problem to our Valks. I kind of question if there is a real advantage to putting them on because there was even one here who had an accident with his Valk and the damage was not bad and it did just that laid on the front crash bars.

I hit something making a left turn in the dark this morning.  Road over it with the front tire and it got tangled up in rear tire somehow and took me down.  I was on a feeder to a major freeway and could not go back and retrieve what ever it was.  '

Thank god for riding gear as I am ok.  Not riding Harley style.  Just bruised and a little road rash on one leg.  When I got the bike to the side of the road, I pulled out a flashlight and had a once over.  The only damage I could find was the crash bar.  I expected the radiator cover to be damaged but was not.  Had the bike towed for inspection and repair of anything that needs attention.  Helmet has evidence of a strike but I do not remember hitting my head.  In fact, its hard to remember what happened after I went down it all happened so fast.  Was only going about 25 mph as I was coming out of a 90 degree turn.  Girl friend wants me to stop riding.  Told her she would have to marry me to have that kind of power.  Hope I did not put my foot in my mouth on that one.

Wear your gear.  Only 1 mile from home.

Someone posted the pix of his GW on the french forum and it looks like this :

I'll check tomorrow if the distance between  the two holes (6 cm/2.36 in) is the same on my Valk and I'll let you know.

I give up ! The holes a just a little too distant (8 mm) and even the holes to fix the pegs are 7 mm too far. Most of all, the crashbars are really large (in order to protect the bags of the Wing or the F6B) and the bike becomes as large as the Wing without the advantages of the bags  uglystupid2

Wink That makes sense without the bags they look huge! Thanks much for all the trouble. I thought it was a good idea but agree they would look nasty

In fact, I gave up the Honda crash bars but I don't give up the idea. I need something between 6 or 10 cm (0.19/0.32 in) and I'm wondering if these could fit :

If those are the black barrel crash bars that I have on my ZX-10R, then they are 3 1/8" long by themselves.
