Yesterday we went to Mt. Jefferson, only took one picture of the sign at the top after a long climb, for me anyway.  We rode the Valkyrie.  Today we went to Mt. Mitchell the highest point East of the Mississippi River.  We took the truck today.  Beautiful day and the temperature at the top was 58.  When I was there last Saturday for a ham radio contest it was overcast and 45 when I left around dark.
Click on the link and see if you can get the album, probably need to run the slideshow.

That's such beautiful country up there and starting to turn into Fall. I miss the seasons so much. On a more solemn note, Mt Jefferson is where I have requested in my will that my ashes be scattered when the big day comes. It has always been a special place for me for many reasons. Thanks for sharing Terry.
