gentlemen. I have a 2000 I/S, and have had a amish guy make some saddle bag lid covers to cover up where my wife scuffed up the top of them with her shoes. a few other members really liked them and want him to make them some. my question for you is.
do the left and right bags have the same lid? the guy wants a lid to make sure the fit is good and wants me to leave 1 there while he makes them. if they are the same, does anyone have 1 that is scratched up or chip out of it or missing hinges that I can buy from you and give it to him to keep for future covers?
TIA!

They are mirror images of each other (the lids)...

Fudgie has leather covers on his lids... they look good...

Velcro all around the inside of the rim. I didn't have to remove the gaskets either. ridden in the rain lots of times, and nothing ever got wet.  Smiley

Those are really nice  cooldude I think your Amish buddy could be pretty busy for a while. I wonder if he could do them with holes in them for the chrome racks to mount ?

Even with identical racks, no two people are likely to locate the racks in exactly the same place. The easiest would be to remove the rack, cover the lid, mark though the holes onto the underside of the cover, then punch the holes where marked.
