Don't ask, I don't know what happened I just slowly backed out and cleared all current running programs on the I pad and the world was back.    2funny   I must have turned it upside down.

Forget Google maps and get a copy of Microsoft Streets and Trips. More flexible, you can enter the spots you want and even click on the route and drag it to a different road. When done, download it to your GPS and it will direct you exactly the route you planned.  cooldude
