Bikers don't need shrinks!

Can't believe I haven't posted a reminder/invite here. You're invited (and so are your non-Valk friends), to come out to http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/ this Sunday, Oct 11 to help some kids battling cancer.  Many of you have supported this ride since 2004, by volunteering, fundraising and just participating in the ride. Texas VRCC has been a huge part of the success for these kids. Please drop what you're doing and come out Sunday to help them and enjoy a great morning with these kids, riding through the countryside and on the track at TMS. We'll have an early lunch afterwards with the kids.

For those who register online and have at least $100 in donations by Friday afternoon, you'll get an extra ticket for the motorcycle (and other goodies) drawing.  Get info and get registered now at http://pbtf.convio.net/site/TR?fr_id=2220&pg=entry#.VhQ2HU2FP6V

You'll be glad you came!

For those who want to volunteer or whose wives want to volunteer, imply go to this link http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/297324492012, and choose one of the two training meetings, either Thursday evening, or Saturday morning this week!

Oops. Forgot the Maxim Dinner info for those interested in Wednesday night's fun. Here is the facebook link https://www.facebook.com/events/528776607278352/ and I'm sure the info is also on the Maxim site.

For those who haven't been to this before, in the past, there have been actors, authors and sports legends in attendance.  I once bid on dinner and an autographed movie with one of our local actors who starred in Blazing Saddles. I don't know who will be there this year, but regardless, it's always good fun, great food and a worthy cause.

Tomorrow night will have Soulman's BBQ, raffle drawings, silent and live auctions (always some good stuff). I've won exhaust for the Wing, tires, hotel stays and lots of meals at their previous auctions.

For those who can't or won't come ride Sunday at TMS, this is a great way to be part of the solution and have some fun.

Sorry I won't be able to make the trip this year Gary, still celebrating our 50th anniversary, this time with the Bishop of our Diocese. Y'all enjoy.

Thanks for the reminder, Gary!  Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday.

I'll be there on a bumblebee.   Wink

Eli, sorry we'll miss you this year, but appreciate the many years you rode up for this and we'll look forward to having you on the racetrack next year.

Guys (and gals), as I was sending a reminder to someone a little earlier about the drawing for the motorcycle, I realized that we've had three VRCC members win motorcycles at this ride and numerous others win tires, helmets, etc. While that's not the reason we all go, do make sure and get registered and get at least $100 raised/donated online before Friday afternoon so you get an extra ticket. All it takes is one.

Pre-registration closed. Just register Sunday at TMS and bring some greenbacks from friends and family for a great cause. My riding buddy at work just shared that the weather forecast is "you have to be nuts not to be riding Sunday morning".  cooldude
