Thanks R.
do u know if any body has the rocker arm ratio to calculate valve lift?
I know webb cams list a lift but I don't know if that's stock or not.

PM  JeffK he will more than likely know the specs your looking for. He also had a set of heads with bigger valves in them awhile ago was going to get them but did my own heads since I had a whole motor I bought. Doing a little port and polish?

Robert, is that the motor you got from me? I'd be interested in what you're doing to it.

just doing some calc's to see which cam is best for MPG.
I think the 49 state cams actually will give better mpg than the emission cams which actually are causing internal EGR per the spec's. Internal EGR in a non-computerized vehicle just doesn't work since a perfect ignition system with antiknock and variable camshaft timing is required to gain mpg and power.
my bike has the calif emissions cams its a 49 state '98. I am getting great mpg but I'm using a lot of ignition advance also on the hwy.
there is a school of thought that more TQ at the low RPMS will give better MPG, hence using a non-calf cam. one of the first '97 valk magazine review actually recorded 35-37 avg mpg with a high of 41. of course when they were running hard they got a low with 29mpg.
