Checked this past tank and got 49.7mpg! I am not sure what other 1800 runners are gettin but I like it, not so much for savings however that is nice but more for distance as I hit 185 miles and it just started to teeter between 1 to 2 LCD bars, solid one bar is still not reserve it's when the single LCD bar starts to blink. I would guess I would be 200 miles before I hit reserve with a 5.9 gal tank. Still a uneasy funny feeling not having a physical reserve just a blinking light. Mike (Hubcap SC) told a story where he just had a brain fart and drove to work with out paying attention to the gauge whatsoever. When leaving work he realized what he had done and made a straight shot for a gas station nearby did not quite make it and ran out of gas with an 1800 C so he checked 240 miles to empty. If I remember right I do believe I made 200 miles once with the black interstate and she was low. Interstate tank being 6.9 Gal. Keeping in mind that Jerry is very easy driver and Neeever gets on it!  |

Yep, just another indication how badly Honda screwed up trying to imitate the classic Valkyrie ! Ride on Jerry, I gotta stop for gas.  |

Jerry, in the past I've hit a bit past 200 with the I/S tank on my bike. That's before I added the fairing and the radiator pods. Now with all that hanging out in the wind, along with my size 12's on the highway pegs, I don't get the mileage I once did. Still gets around 185 and up if I control the wrist and stay below 3k rpm on the roads off the interstates. Good to know the 1800 improves mileage a noticeable amount, I just don't like trying to work on FI. Has anyone with an F6B posted any mileage figures?

40 to 42 consistently on our F6B's. During the mountain riding with Rick & Kristy in NC & TN it was in the mid to high 40's. Though there is no reserve with the FI bikes the gas light usually comes on at the 220 mile mark. Never have put more than 5.75 gallons in with a 6.5 gallon tank, & that was at the 240 mile mark. We are very much loving these "new Valk Tourers".   |

I usually hit reserve at 200 on my interstate and I don't always take it easy on her. This weekend spent it 2 up with my daughter in the back and I hit reserve at 190. Yes it is a bigger tank than your and we definitely don't do the millage in the 40's but still nice to have that type of range. Great millage Jerry BTW I was hoping to see a new gen Valk with the Corbin bags this weekend and did not see one with those bags, some without the Corbin bags and with some other type of bags but NO CORBIN |

So that means you are getting almost 10 more mpg than Mike gets on Chewie.

There is very rarely any need to "work on" fuel injection. |

FI is the greatest invention since the wheel. I have a boat which sits 4 or 5 months currently hasn't been run side July. Starts up instantly every time I drop it in the water. It is 11 yrs old 4 stroke Suzuki. My VTX I had for 9 yrs. Started every time I turned the key. Never touched the plugs on the bike. Chevy pu has 151,000 original plugs runs like new. Last fill on the VAL I put 4 gal @ 191 miles. Don't baby the bike. Drive it hard can't get enough of the rush. See why the sports guys drive so crazy. Can't imagine what I would do on an h2. Good thing I am to old and couldn't sit in that position to ride it around the block. Makes me hurt just to look at a sport bike. Mileage is the least of my conserns but a definit plus. Love the bike.

Checking the milage on my last 3 fill-ups I GET 46+ IF RIDING ON THE THROTTLE AND 49 if taking it easy using 1st to 3rd to 5th just crusing the county rds in southern Wisconsin
