Removing White Line Paint
«
on:

Just got the bike back from getting it detailed and noticed fine spattering of white that I didn't notice earlier. After a bit of thought, I remember being routed around a group of trucks painting white lines on the road. Must have picked up some of the mist.
Any suggestions on how to remove it without damaging the OEM paint?
Thanks in advance.

First , determine if it is paint or thermo-plastic. If they let you drive thru it , It is paint. Try wd40 in a small spot or pull a little paint off and see if wd will soften it. On some paint , easy off oven cleaner will work. Again , a test spot.

I like this stuff made by 3M called citrus cleaner. I use it to remove sharpie marker off my control panels when I have to lay out a cut out. Haven't found anything it wont take off yet. It's hard to get espically here in indiana, for some reason the EPA put restrictions on it being shipped here. So now when one of our guys are out of state we order it by the case and have them bring it back to us.

Clay bar, like you get in an auto detailing kit, should take it right off...and leave your oem paint smoother and cleaner.
