Just a F Y I. While I was waiting on my new star/stop switch I cleaned battery terminals and grounds and that main relay under the right side cover with the 30 amp fuse. Had both side covers off and hooked up the new switch into the proper plug. Good to go. No Joy. Just a relay clicking. While trying to figure which relay was clicking I reached my fingers behind the coolant tank and ahead of the battery where 3-count em- 3 relays live. All I did was touch them and the starter switch did what it was sposed to do-turned the engine over. Further investigation revealed all 3 were In need of a contact cleanup. Which I did. The one all the way to the rear closest to the battery was a bit more crusty than the other two. My I/S will be 17 years old in March 2016 and currently has 111000 + miles on her. In order to make it somewhat easier on old arthritic fingers I pulled the coolant tank. After cleanup of those terminals a LIGHT coat of silicone dielectric was called for. The lower hose to the coolant tank Is a Royal P I A to hook back up. Those over size needle nose pliers from H/F sure helped. Cool and damp-raining here now-and ritis run me off.  Lips Sealed Finish up 2moro.  cooldude RIDESAFE.

Thanks for this. I've had an intermittent issue with starting. Done all the typical things and will bet that is my problem too. Will investigate when time presents itself.  cooldude

Further inspection revealed on my I/S anyway that all the relays are the same. When you get yours checked out please let us know how it played out for you. T I A. RIDE SAFE.

If I am not mistaken these relays are the same as the Goldwing 1500.  They can e purchased here and you likely will not find a better price.
