He tried to replace the gauge, sending unit, etc but still couldn't get his gauge to work. So he made one!  Shocked Looks good!  Grin He also uses 2 screw drivers to jump his starter. Has a hammer with bracket welded to his saddle bag crash bar for 'emergency' use. Bikes never been washed. He has about 50,000 on this bike and he had 180,000 on his other that got wrecked a couple winters ago. He rides year round, unless snow gets to deep. He's one of the few that will hang with ya through it all. Matches my riding and partying style.

Thats the tank off his wrecked bike. Been empty for 2 yrs now. He couldn't believe how thin the metal was.

Unless he filled it with water, putting the hole he is welding (brazing) at the top.... once you get a little "pop" with whatever residue comes to the top of the tank....  your good to go.    Grin
