Very hmmmm....

but the 1300 still wouldn't be that great... I liked my X but I don't know about one being called an interstate.... very interesting.

Looks like another V-twink with wallet sized bags and a piece of plastic ducttaped to the handlebars. They tried that with the VTX 1800 and couldn't give them away. I might get surprised, but, I doubt it.

Regarding the VTX 1800 - to own one is to know one.  cooldude

I have only good things to say about my experience. I have had mine two years this month and put 10k miles. All enjoyable. IMHO  Cheesy

I could see an 1800 dressed out, or set up as a tourer, but a 1300 furry?? I dont know
But I do thin honda is missing out not having some thing like the Valk I/S in the line up.... the gold wing is an awesome bike, but the style of the Valk cant be beat

There missing a lot all right, a light sport tourer, a decent dual sport, an interstate type bike. They've closed their USA plant. I think Honda's messed up myself. If I were to replace my I/S right now, it would not be from Honda as they have nothing that interests me. Just my opinion, of course.

I looked at a Big Dog last weekend.  Fairing w/stereo and hard bags.  Sure it's no Valkyrie, but it was comforatble and cool looking.  But it was also around 40k.

I had a VTX 1800 for an extended test ride.  I thought it was OK till I got on a Valk.  I didn't get out of the parking lot before I knew the Valk was better for ME.

I have had her 6 years and there is NO looking back.

When I got my Valk, I was actually looking for an M109R. I ended up catching a glimpse of my future bike on the lot, walked over to it, and was admiring the Girl's curves when a salesman walked up, said nothing, and started it. I was sold right then and there.  cooldude
