Ok let's look at The Honda website, some models have 2016 listed. The ST1300 for example has 2011 and 2012 listed as choices. I certainly do not think that it is a discontinued model. Does anyone know the theory on this? Is there just plenty of overstock and they want to thin the numbers before they offer a different color and slap 2016 on it?  I know other manufacturers do this as well as I remember for a long time the Yamaha Royal Star venture being listed long after the current date. However I do know this one was indeed discontinued.   How does one go about finding out for sure if a particular model has been discontinued?  Did Honda announce when the 1500 was no longer produced?  Do they even announce this kind of stuff?  ???    The question is rooted in the many times on the 1800 bored people are announcing the death of the 1800 C.  If it is indeed retired it doesn't phase me either way it's just I would like to know why people are so adamant that they can make a claim like this?

There are LOTS of self-proclaimed "experts" on every forum on every subject I have ever seen. I am  most familiar with Guns forums, and most of these "experts" just recycle what they have read somewhere on another forum, by another so-called "expert," and have no actual experience with the gun or other product they are proclaiming to be "experts" on. The true experts are those that can actually document their own experience. JMNSHO
