Is there any way to remove the swirl/ dust scratches from the brilliant shine already on the valve covers. I tried the white jewelers rouge in an inconspicuous spot and no way.please help

I don,t think there is any way to remove scratchs from chrome.
when they are there that is it.

I agree with Shortleg. Anything aggressive enough to polish is also aggressive to scratch it worse and/or remove the very thin chrome layer.

Try a can of Coca-Cola in a quart of water. You will be surprised! I was!

Try removing both covers...cleaning them up really well....and see how they look reversing them, right one on the left side and vise verse.....they will interchange and maybe the scratches will be hidden??????
