Hi, I'm looking to buy a new Valk to ad to the stable here in the UK, wondering if anyone might be able to help with locating one at the right price. I have seen them advertised at $10 - 12k, new, 2014 models, are these prices right? I'm thinking I can get one and ship it here saving me a $ or two.
I'd want ABS and would also like to ad corbin bags before shipping, again would maybe need some help to do that also. I can arrange shipping no problem, some may recall I have done it in the past, most recently last year when we located a tourer, triked it and shipped it to UK, with some help from you guys over there.
Ideally I'd want to sort a deal ready for shipping within the first two weeks of January, that way I'll have it here and road ready for next riding season.
Hope someone can help me find the right deal,
Thanks in advance
Mick.

Yes, those prices are correct.

Go to cycletrader.com and find a dealer selling at the price you want and then contact them to see if they can handle the arrangements that you need accomplished.  Remember that, in the U.S. only the black bike can have the optional ABS package, all other paint colors do not have it available and that includes the 2015's.  Finding an ABS-equipped bike in the lower price ranges is far more difficult than finding a non-ABS leftover.

Good luck!

Found this guy at bike night. Had bad leg that is doing much better and decided to keep his HD and sell this. --- I know - whatever. Nonetheless here is tons of extras.  Only I don't think it was ABS

Thanks for replies so far guys, sorry for time lag in replying, GMT don't ya know lol.
Looking at cycletrader there are a few just under 11 with no miles, so guess it's just a case of deciding which state is the best for shipping and contacting a dealer.
Black is the preferred color so that will be no problem re the ABS, from what I've read that's a 1k option?, so if I can get that added to the base of 11 we should be good.
if anyone knows of someone selling, but I'd prefer unmolested, no screen or other upgrades other than like I say, ABS and Corbin bags,
thanks Guys

The very cheapest I ever saw an ABS-equipped model was $14K, +$2,000 more than the non-ABS model.  Although it should only be a $1,000 option, the dealers do not seem anxious to mark down the ABS model as much.  The greatest majority of leftovers are red I believe, as most [guys] went either for the classic black/"Stealth" look or the blacked-out blue/"Sport" look; you can all the red the "Elegant" version (if the muscular Valkyrie can even have that appellation applied).

At 14 + that could be a deal breaker, would still be less than I could get one over here, but add on the hassle factor of importing there's not much in it. ABS is standard over here, that surprised me, in the past your bikes were usually fully loaded with those sold over here basic with loads of added options.
Thing with ABS, as it is an option it would be nice to have it, never ridden with it, but mates that have say it's a worthy upgrade.
Time yet to find something, I'll keep looking, winters are long.

@Mick, if you keep an eye on this adress, you will find a F6c with very few kilometers for +/- 14 k€. ABS is standard here.

And you might even be interested by this F6B, brand new :

I guess it would be easier for you to buy a bike in France, catch a train, come back home riding'  Wink

But the fact is that in France until january 2016, bikes are limited to 106 HP  uglystupid2

That is interesting ledany, never would have thought to look that close to home, could maybe leave it registered in France and park it at Belonga Mick.
Wonder how they have restricted them?
Don't want the F6B, the badge is all important lol.
Thanks for the heads up on that.

ABS is standard in the EU because it is required by law as of the 2016 model year.  Some companies jumped the gun a little and offered ABS as standard equipment earlier as a simple expediency of standardizing their range and, rather than have a single-year full-line rollout, placed ABS in the line as models were generally updated.

In America, motorcycles are sold by wholly-owned subsidiaries of the motor corporations and therefore must show a yearly P&L on-the-books statement.  Therefore they call their own shots as to what they import and how they market; they have decided to play 'cheap' and stock 2 different SKU's, ABS and non-ABS, in order to quell price conscious shoppers who don't want to pay for the ABS option.

That, and because too many Americans are stubborn Luddites who are afraid of anything new  Evil
