Gil, since my Valk will need both tires in the near future, I believe that I will be going to the Taxi Tire. I assume that I should also buy the Radial tube that is on the same site. How about the other item listed:  "Added Tire Protection."

The Austone is tubeless, does not need a tube !

Don
The taxi tire is likely a great choice, but some don't like it.  Billy and Nick talked me into a Nexen 5000.  It fits me fine, however I saw Pappy's tire and liked it's characteristics.  I run a Dunlap 404 (rear) on the front.  That way you get more tread.  Both have been through extreme weather and performed well.  Previously I ran a GY triple tread.  Loved it but it was harder to turn then the Nexen.

One the wing I am running a Yokohama Avid envigor.  Love it.  And on the front a battleax (rear) BT45.  Again tested in extreme weather.  I think some are running the Yoko on their Valks.

James runs the taxi tire and likes it.  Jerry had one and did not like it.  I went with the Nexen at $100 and like it.  Again check with Pappy, he has good insight on choices.

You doing Hardees this week?

I think having two interstates at the same time each with a different CT was helpful.

Gil, Thanks for your input. I am asking quite a few people for their thoughts on this matter. Wednesday at Weeki Wachee is dependent on my work schedule, which will not be known until Wednesday afternoon. If possible I will be there.

Thanks to Valkorado for posting the original thread and Gill's keen eye on posting this to the Florida board. It's not an inexpensive tire so the free shipping is a big plus. I guess I'm over 40,000+ miles on my current Taxi tire and was planning on a December replacement. I know the Taxi tire is not for everyone but, I have had really great service from my current one, and truth be known feel it has saved my butt in some severe weather as well as providing a smooth, even highway ride. Hope this next one performs as well.
