I had my first rear ended episode on the bike. Me being the recipient. My last two were @ 60mph in cars.
Just tapped by someone at a light. He hit my signal bar and it in turn folded in the B fender but not enough to hit the tire.
$534 + $64 to ship 3 day for the fender from a Honda dealer in MI. And he said that was the internet discount price. Amazing! I was surprised to hear they stock them painted. I'm telling the fellow who hit me it'll be $768 adding two hours for the swap out.
He said he was admiring it when the light turned green and just gently drove into it. Nice Iranian fellow in a brand new Benz. Guess it could've been worse with a non insured perpetrator.

Glad you're OK and the other driver is insured.  Those prices seem high but what is'nt now days.  You should'nt have any problem settling for that amount.  I was bumped by a bus on my CB750 almost 30 years ago and it cost almost that much to fix it.
