On Monday January 11, 2015 I start a new job with an environmental consulting company.  The location is in Chelmsford, which is a bit of a drive, especially when compared with my former commute into Boston on the train.  The company has a very good work from home policy, that I expect to eventually take advantage of.  They do have office space in Boston, which is a longer term objective for me.

Three job changes in the last four years have been quite a ride.  Hopefully this works out.  I don't want to do this again.

Tony, that's good news, I hope the 495 commute isn't too bad. You might find some back roads that wouldn't take much longer to drive, but be very pleasant when the weather is more conducive to riding. Good luck!

Been there done that. I've fortunately been at this job for 11 years. In the past never had a job longer than 3 years though. good luck and be well.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes!  Since I'll be close to Lowell, maybe I'll do a couple of the Motorcycle Nights on Tuesday on Pawtucket Blvd. by the Merrimack River.  I'm sure I could convince Bernie to join me for a few.   cooldude

Just drink 2 six packs on the way home in the evening and the commute will be fine.   That kept me going for 5 years commuting from West Haven to Harrison NY  Cheesy
