A friend of mine told me he went with a different shifter lever for better boot clearance, just not sure which lever it was? Anyone have any idea which lever to go with?

You can also raise the shifter up one spline on the shaft. Easy to get use to the different position. It can depend on your shoe size. I wear an 11 boot.

I was able to get a longer shift peg at the (don't trash me here) Harley store.  Was about $15 and it required cutting off the original and drilling/tapping the hole.  Worked out very well.

The drill and tap longer shifter end from Kuryakyn (longhorn), uses the same Valk shifter arm.

The other honda shifters noted above, have a longer arm and give you more clearance from the valve cover.

Nothing at the Harley store is $15.
