I fire the bike up after setting for a month and gas started pouring out somewhere around the right rear carb.  It does it almost immediately when I turn the petcock on.  Where could it be leaking?

First, no fuel should flow from the petcock when turned on and the bike not running. So you have a possible BIG PROBLEM that you need to fix first.

As for the fuel leaking, could just be dried out o-rings. Give it a little time, and try it again, and some more time if needed, and see if it is still leaking.

Might stop leaking. Look in the archives referring to carb leaks.
Advice: replace your float valves. Do not think that they "look" good.  Replace them. What year is your bike? Those little tiny springs get weak with age and will allow gas to flow into the cylinders. You cannot compress a liquid. In a word: hydrolock.
Easy to replace.
Repairing hydrolock, well, not so easy to repair. And expensive.
Check your petcock as well. Fuel should not flow without a vacuum. Get the "cover kit" from Honda. Or, buy an electric petcock.

Ride safe.

It is a 1999 Interstate with 48000 miles.  It appears the tech archive link is dead.

As mentioned, do a search. Look up hydro lock.

I don't see a link? Old Tech Link? Yes, error. Nothing in the Shoptalk.

No hydro lock.  Apperantly either the o-ring swelled up sealing the leak or tapping the carb unstuck the float.  I pumped out the tank and added fresh gas with B12.

But did you fix the first problem, fuel flowing from a non running bike, when the petcock was turned on? That should not happen, and is 1 of 3 possible ways of getting a hydro lock.

If you haven't followed up on reading about a hydro lock yet, please do. You can be looking at some major repairs and costs.
