Crazy idea ...
Has anyone thought about adding a vacuum operated GW cruise control to a Valk?
I am considering doing it, and was wondering if there is a body of information to build on ....

I've installed about six of the audiovox units over the years two on my 2000 interstate, three for fellow valk riders and I'm just finishing up on my new to me 2001 interstate. the first one on my 2000 lasted 6yrs and close to 100k in miles. it takes a little time but well worth it.

I'm thinkin this will be on my project list this year. Already have a Brake-Away but have not had an actual cruise on a Valk yet. Of course the GL1800 has one and it's really nice. No throttle lock however which is also nice for momentary throttle setting.

I never did like using cruise control in my cars. But since I got it on my GW, I love it. I also don't drive as fast as I used to, so find most of my time is in the slow lane and it makes it a lot easier to hold a speed and enjoy the ride more.
I've been thinking the same thing for when I get an IS again. Add cruise control from a GW. Figure parts a cheap. But don't know what I'll need to make it functional. But at $100-180 for an audiovox, it might just be easier to go that way.
