Thanksgiving Day lunch at my daughters and I'm cooking the meal. Won't be able to make it. Really thought I would be able to be there this time as we usually do our turkey on Sunday, but wouldn't you know it.....it's different this year. Sorry paul

Yup, looks like it's gonna be wet. IF the rain holds off for Saturday AM, I'll most likely make the run out for a coffee.

A nice little meeting yesterday. George was the brave one, and brought his Tourer over in the rain.
Next months, Nov 12.

Second Saturday coming up fast, Jan 14 2017, breakfast at Road Runner Café.
WEATHER PERMITTING! Already there is talk of it getting cold again next week, and snow coming back.
I figure this will be the last one on the 2nd Sat of the month, as I wish to move it, preferably to the 3rd. This way we (I) can drive down to the Vermon Sat morning breakfast meeting in Seattle, which is where I copied the 2nd Sat from, never thinking that we might like to meet up at the others meeting sometimes.
I'll email George. Mike I hope you can make it. Paul, would also be nice to see you.
I'm not going to the Annual Van MC Show, but it might be nice to meet up with others and make plans if you are going.
Tess will be in Las Vegas next weekend, so will be there alone.

Breakfast was nice again. George showed up, along with a new comer, Kerry, on his Honda 650 Magna, and Tess and myself.
Weather was nice, but for myself, bike will be off the road a little longer. Worked on the Green IS, fairing is fixed, and just needs to be placed back on the bike, most likely tomorrow.
Hope to see you next month!

Hard to believe another month has gone by, next breakfast meeting is next Sat Mar 18, 8 am.
Weather should be getting better. Hope we can get some more people together, so maybe some rides can be planed for the year?
Suggestions on how people can find us in the restaurant when we are there without our bikes/riding gear? I don't wear a baseball cap usually, but I do have one from Yellowstone I could wear. Or maybe I can bring a MC helmet, and place it on the table?
George, just a reminder about those glove liners you mentioned to Tess. I'll grab her ridding gloves and put it in her car, so we have them.

Oops!!
Arrived at the breakfast this morning, just behind George as he drove up to the parking lot. Wow, all that parking, the lot was empty.
Oh, seems then where closed Good Friday, so is also closed Sat, for a 3 day long weekend for them.
Took out a business card and wrote on it going to Ricky's just beside McD on the B-pass. Seems when I got there, it was actually a Boston Pizza, and there was the iHop in the same parking lot, so we went there.
I'm very sorry if anyone else showed up and didn't find us, as the Ricky's was actually on the foot of the hill from Cloverdale and the By-pass, at 192 St (?).
If this happens again, restaurant closed, then Ricky's will be the alternate dinner. Now that we also know where to find it too.

Hey Gord, It was a beautiful weekend for riding. Did you ride to breakfast or take the car? Any plans for rides after breakfast yet or still just eating and chatting? I managed to get some down time on Sunday so rode out to Hope on Hwy 7 for breakfast. What a great ride is was......perfect temp, snow covered mountains and relatively quiet roads. It was good to feel the wind in my face again after the last two weeks of not riding!!!

Light showers Sat morning, and I hadn't gotten Tess's gear organized yet (rain gear too), so just drove the car. George showed up on his bike, as usual. Sun, busy cooking Easter Dinner.
I'm hoping to run down to the Vermin breakfast next month (2nd Sat), rain or shine, at Gator's. Unless they want to meet half way in Mt Vernon, but I was going to wait for the weather reports first.
I'm planning next month to ride to the breakfast, rain gear if I must, and go for a ride after, at least to Hope and back, or somewhere else, maybe up the Coq?
Do you think you are going to make it, by yourself or with Alison?

I've stopped there before and quite enjoyed it. Alfred and I really like a little dinner in Hope so we usually don't stop until then. When the girls are with us we don't get to stop anywhere but Rowena's. Doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, my sister only goes there for their creme brulee!!! I'd forgotten you moved. Next time we make a run out to Hope, I'll give you a call.

Sunny tomorrow so I'm riding my bike to work and taking it in to have some work done. I'm going to get them to replace all the vaccum lines and fuel lines. Last year my girl stopped on me once around Boise, Idaho when the temp was 105. Waited about 10 minutes and it started up again. Stopping feels like when the bike runs out of fuel. I'm headed down through Death Valley into Southern Utah again this summer and the temps could be much higher so i'm having all the lines replaced. Don't want to be sitting on the side of the hwy in temps over 110 watching Harley's go by me. I have to get this issue fixed once and for all and it's not the petcock. Anyway, that's a long explanation just to say that I'd enjoy a ride down to meet the Vermin for breakfast as long as my girl is back from the shop. Keep me posted. paul

Still going to Byron at 3D, Paul? I spoke with him and he seems like a pretty good /knowledgeable guy...im getting him to do my tires coming up here soon and throw a new u joint/boot on (preventative replacement, with 150 k on original).

FYI - I was just given a new u-joint on Tuesday. It was used to find a problem on a GW GL1500, but it wasn't it. It was bought about 2-3 years ago, so one of the new ones. Plus I have another used one already as a spare, in my trailer for those trips.

Now you tell me Actually I purchased through Pro Calibre and saved a hundred bucks over purchasing though dealer, so not too bad. No issues with mine, but it is the original with about 150,000 km on it so better to do now while a new tire goes on and rear end gets serviced....then on the side of the road one day or getting towed somewhere.

Both Byron and Ron are great guys. Ron has been servicing Hondas at 3-D for almost 35 years. Byron is his understudy.....a smart kid who really knows a lot about bikes. Together they can fix anything. I like how honest they are.
I stopped and took a photo of my odometer on the way to work this morning.... 111111 km. After touring this summer and riding all year, I think I'll be looking at a timing belt in the spring of 2018, maybe a u-joint too!
