I put a ATT on my two up bike 17k miles ago.

When new, the middle grove mic'd out at .31 " or  7.98 mm.

Today, it mic'd out at .179" or 4.55 mm.

Still got more than half the tread left.

Mostly two up at 32-36 psi depending which gauge you want to believe.

What's the typical groove depth on a M/C tire?

Anyone?

32-36 psi?  Shocked
Am I mistaken that most folks run that tire at 42 psi?
 I run mine at 42.
Got about 5500 miles with no problems.
Ride safe.

I know the general opinion is to run around 42, but one reason I wanted to run a C/T was so I could get the longevity mileage at lower psi.

I've run it for 17K at 32-36 without issue.  Works for me.

Honda calls for 33-36 in the manual (on M/C tires) and the tire calls for 55 psi max, at max load of 1653 lbs.  The bike w riders & gear goes around 1200 lbs on two wheels.

Some riders have reported a wobble at high speeds at the lower psi, but I've not noticed any.

Last fall I bumped mine up to 42 from 39 and it felt awful.
Wouldn't think 3 lbs would make that much of a difference.
Going back in the spring.

Hey Bill, that tire is looking pretty good.  cooldude I've never seen a bad report about the ATT. I've been running dark side for quite a while but have been hesitant about them because of the height. Have you had any problems with bottoming on the fender ?

Morning Rob,

When I put that tire on, I bought a set of used progressive shocks (either 11.5 or 12", can't remember which) to lower the bike from the high tire.

Any ways, when 2 up, the tire would rub, I believe, on the wire cage.

I re-installed the OEM shocks and the rub went away.

I've gotten use to the extra height.  Never bothered me when riding and I have a 32" inseam, so my feet set flat.  It was the extra height when on the stand that was the only concern.

I've got m/c tires on my other rides and I really like the ATT.  Can't beat the mileage it's giving me.

Just wish it came with a lower profile.
