So there has been much thinking on the SoCal blinker deal. What about just going to a different rear LED blinker altogether?  There is this kit on eBad  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Valkyrie-2014-2015-Dual-LED-Turn-Signal-Integrated-Brake-Light-SMOKE-/252105753250?hash=item3ab2ac82a2:g:dJYAAOSwTapV378r&vxp=mtr so it appears someone got this to work along with the givi case mentioned.

I now want to have a different LED tailight. Something that does not not stick out as much and I want a slightly different location. Will I have the same problem as the so cal?

Agreed. I only want to go to a different type of blinker. Not this set up. Maybe one that is integrated in a license plate frame or one that is just smaller/sleaker.  I posted this option just noting that there are two known non-OEM blinkers that work.

Just an idea on how to hook up front turn signals.

Maybe since the front lights are turn/run lights that is where the problem exists. Since the back lights are strictly turn signals maybe to hook up the front lights you need to find the rear light turn signal wires and hook to that. I have not checked that out yet but just giving anyone a heads up. Someone installed a rear trunk that the all the lights worked. Stop, run and turn signals so maybe that is the secret to hooking up the front lights. It should be fairly easy to do since the light module is under the seat and has the rear lights going to it.

You might very well be on to something here with the rear signals.
I'm wondering if anyone has wiring diagrams or details on how the turn signals work? what voltage are the signals running on?
I would love to have the fogs with the yellow turns on my newly acquired Valkyrie.
A service manual is on my long list of things to buy.
I may have to start investigating this muself with the ole Fluke multi-meter.

I'm not sure if you mean me, but I did get my GIVI box lit up with a lighting kit from Admore Lighting. Their wiring harnesses comes with an internal controller. Sadly, the kit only works with their stuff, it was tried on the Socal lights by another member and it did not work.

Here is their website. You might find something you like.

Using the rear signal source is interesting. They may even be able to trigger small relays if not able to take the additional loading alone.

That is how I installed my lights, from the rear harness post ECU. The kit runs a primary 12v and taps into the turn signal wires for signal only. The controller does the rest. There are actually two 12v (light green, I think) wires that supply the rear signals with power on the bike itself. My 12v source power comes from it. I have some photos of it in my Adventures in Valkyrie Wiring post.
