Does the valkyrie need a front fender mudflap? Just curious what others think, as I haven't even been able to ride my valk, as i bought it just before xmas, and I'm in the north... Can't wait till spring, as I have never experienced 1800 motor.....

I am wondering whether one for e Goldwing front fender would work. I know after 45000 miles on my 08 the timing cover and cowling had taken a beating.

I'd be interested too, if something came along like the plastic "fenda extenda" that was available for my Kawa Concours. Easy glue in mounting.
But, like most other after-market pieces, I don't think manufacturers believe there are a sufficient number of 14-15 Valk owners out there with a demand to offset R&D costs and make a profit.
This maybe a part that would need to come from another bike and modified for the Valk fender. Or, fabricate something at home.

I sent an email to Fenda Extenda to see if they have a model that will fit the new Valkyrie.  They have ones for a GL1800, but I am not sure if our front fenders are the same as the full wing.

Since the normal goldwings have a different 18" wheel/tire size I'm guessing the front fender shape would be different than whats on the Valk.

I think if you need, or want a mud flap thats up to you, since you got the bike before xmas and havent ridden it yet, welcome to the valkyrie 1800 club..... you will be amazed at the power and exceloration of the bike... everyone has their own comments, some dont like the seat, some dont like the forward set bars, some dont like the stock tires, BUT no one-I mean NO ONE, has said they dont like the motor. the over all look of the bike is so different from anything else, that I still get people ask me WHAT IS THAT..... wow thats a big motor...It just makes me smile and say-Its my Honda and ya the motor IS big       enjoy the ride

After a year and a half and  22,4000 mls (36 000 km), I never thought of such a thing. From times to times (once a week in fact  2funny), I clean the bike and the dirt goes away easily, the bike is clean in less than 10'
I ride everyday (except when it's too icy), I like the lightness of the Valk (compared to the Goldwing of course  Grin) and I intend to keep it that way  angel

Really my thoughts also and pretty much what I do. I believe the front fenders are actually pretty close to the same and if they make the flap for the wing it will fit the Valk,

The fenders on the wing are 2 pieces, and they are 1 piece on our bikes.  Not sure if they are the same width, but the Valk's fender is longer in the back.

they don't have to be model specific....take some rubber mud flaps and trim to fit
