That is, do you need to order quantity 6 or is it a set of six.  My motion pro tool has bunged up the end of a screw a bit (I think the bit is actually too thick) and I would like to replace it but I don't want 36 of these, just 6 Smiley

Honda Directline has them for about $13

Thanks in advance for any help.

The required column indicates six, so I'd say they're sold individually.

What a coincidance : yesterday I replaced all 6 pilotscrews by new-ones.

That partnumber includes the pilotscrew + spring + washer + O-ring = 1 complete pilotscrew.

You can order only one - I ordered 6 and got 6 new pilotscrews.

Price in Belgium = 16,70 euro (=22,7 USD !!!)

I hope this is helpfull  cooldude

I figured as much but a while back when cleaning the carbs and desmogging I ordered the hose kit and ended up with 18 meters of hose  Undecided  I just wanted to be sure.

The piece of crap Honda pilot tool broke while removing the 3'rd screw and that was while the carbs were on the bench.  The brass cup split.  So I bought the motion pro driver and bit this time, but I think the bit is too think once the pilot screw is screwed in far enough and I don't know if the screws are being seated.  The d's on a couple are started to become rounded.

So now I have to decided weather to replace them or not Sad

Thanks again!

That is one advantage of having an European Flatsix : mine does not have that D-shape, it has a cross for a Philips screwbit - much better !

If you are not sure that the pilots are slightly bottomed then you have a problem : for adjusting you need to bottom them SLIGHTLY !!!!!!!! and then 2.25 turns out (if you have stock jets)

I tried them at 2.75 turns out - 2.5 turns out - 2 turns out , best result like Patrick says :  2.25 turns out and then you have the 3% of CO that we want.

Good luck ! Wink

When you removed yours, did you see any damage to the screw?  I took one out last night and it looks fine, the needle is not scored in any fashion nor the tip bent or anything.

Just wondering if you saw any visible evidence that they were damaged.

You are right : it is not easy to see if a pilotscrew is dammaged.

1 seemed to be a little thicker then the new : measured the small tip and new = 0,50 mm, that one measured 0,55 mm.

After replacing them all 6 I fired up my baby and had a much better and steady idle.

When I open throttle she seemes to be much smoother.

The pilotscrewdriver from Honda that I have gives already some internal torsion when you turn it, this made that I had not "the feeling" with the pilotscrew, and therefore I had to turn it harder to be sure it seated : but dammaged the pilots....

I removed the chrome intakes to change and adjust the new pilots, and used a 90° screwdriver that turned much more souple, now I am sure they are all set like it should + no dammaged seats !

I just ordered 6 from the local Honda dealer at $20.99 each.  Ouch.  I am going to file down the bit that I have for the Motion Pro driver to get it to fit better.  The Motion Pro driver does not have any feel like the Honda tool, it bind, etc.  But the Honda Tool D cup is made of reconstituted butter it seems and splits readily and is not readily replaceable as far as I can tell whereas a bit for the Motion Pro is about $3.

I'll let you know how I make out once the screws come in.

Again, thanks for the info.
