The alarm sounded off at 5:00AM Sunday morning, took the obligatory shower to get the blood flowing and  I was off to meet WPD210 (Jim) on 69 and 63 in Zavalla. It was a crisp 61 deg and rather clear, but as I was leaving Kountz I spied a little fog ahead. As I got closer it thickened, looked to the left where the fog was coming into the highway from and there was Reed Ice House causing all the fear of fog. After a couple hours of slow rolling for 82 miles, I arrived at the location to find Jim circling already.

No that's not Jim's bike, he just likes to stand by it.

Nice road through Alabama Creek Animal Management Area on FM2262

How would you like to toot these horns

I would say we both enjoyed this ride discovering new roads for Jim and a few for me. We visited the Rattlesnake Ranch Pecan Shop on hwy 21 east of Austonio and dined at Woody's Smoke House where we really tanked on some great BBQ. After Woody's we rode hwy 7 to Crockett and each headed for home. Jim texted me later to tell me his roundtrip was 340 miles. My roundtrip came in about 430 miles. All told for Saturday and Sunday I got in near 650 miles.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
