One thing I wanted to do is be able to transport my golf clubs on my motorcycle.  I searched for a ready made means of doing this but options are limited.  The few available require a receiver hitch and obscure your rear lights or require some rather bizarre attachment system.  I inquired on this forum and didn't get any replies from anyone that had already conquered this, but several expressed interest in also being able to transport thier clubs.
I decided to build my own.  I enlisted the help of my neighbor and we came up with the following golf bag carrier shown in the pictures.  It took us about a day to build and it utilizes materials you can purchase at most well stocked hardware store.  It cost about $50 all told I suppose.  It utilizes my Leatherlyke hard bag mounting posts and the passenger footpeg on one side as attachment points.  I've used it to transport my clubs to the driving range several times and to a golf course or two up to 30 miles away.  So far, it has worked perfectly.  Its very stable and I don't notice any change in how the bike handles.
I'm not enough of a computer whiz to provide you with a photo with all the dimensions superimposed on it should you want to try and build something like it.  However, the pictures should show you the idea and I'd be glad to address any other questions folks might have.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
